Office Skills Training (OST) Program of the Housing Authority of the City of Lakeland is an 18-month training program that is a combination of on-the-job training in the daily operations of the Lakeland Housing Authority and formalized office skills training courses. The program is designed to instill the proper workplace skills demanded of an employee in today's job market and to provide an opportunity to gain actual workplace experience to enhance the trainee's resume. The ultimate goal of this program is to provide the necessary skills for the trainee to become successful in a business office environment. LHA currently is accepting applications for its Office Skills Training Program. Trainees receive a stipend of $6.79 per training hour.
