Baptism Info

Everything you need to know about your upcoming baptism celebration

About Baptism

We are extremely excited about the upcoming baptisms and hope you are too! My goal is for you to be aware of all the details and general expectations beforehand, so you can fully enjoy every second of the morning!

If you have any questions about the information, please do not hesitate to reach out!

What service will I be baptized in?

You will be baptized in the service that you signed up for.

When do I show up at Access Church?

It’s requested that you show up NO LATER THAN 30 minutes before the service you plan on getting baptized in. Again, our service times are 9:30 and 11:00. If you happen to be running late, please contact us and let us know that you are running late! This will help me and my team so much!

Where do I go when I arrive?

Head straight to the Next Steps Room. Once there, the team and I will celebrate with you as well as help you get situated and briefly talk about why we get baptized. We will also answer any questions that you might have. Please bring all your belongings with you to the Next Steps Room.

What if I have family and/or close friends that would like to join me?

We would love for you to have the chance to take pictures AFTER baptisms with your family or a few close friends. After all, these are the people who are important to you and we want you to be able to share this amazing moment with them. We only ask that you be mindful of your group size to ensure that we do not run into time constraints.

When do the family and/or close friends need to go find a seat in the auditorium?

Once the previous service has been released, we encourage them to find the best seat in the house! I do ask the person who is getting baptized to stay behind and start getting changed.

Where does the person that I request to help baptize me go?

We are so excited (if) you have requested someone who is a part of your salvation story to help baptize you. We will ask for you to communicate with that person to make sure they have all of the information. We ask that they check in with you (30 minutes prior to the service you plan on getting baptized in.)

They do not have to be wearing anything specific. They just need to come prepared to stand on the stage to celebrate with you! It should be pretty easy! I will make sure they are clear with when their role is and will answer any questions they may have.

When will the baptisms happen within the church service?

While this may be subject to change, baptisms will happen within the last half of the service.

SPECIAL NOTE: if you have family or friends coming to join the celebration, please make sure they sit in the middle two sections. This will give them the best view.

Where do we change for baptism?

We have dedicated baptism changing rooms close to our Next Steps Room. Our amazing team will show you where you need to be if you need help.

Do I take my child (who is getting baptized) to Access Kids?

Please do NOT take them to Access Kids. They will check in with the rest of the individuals getting baptized and will sit with the rest of the individuals and team (and a parent if preferred) all together during service until we go forward for Baptism.

What do I bring for baptism?

We will be providing an Access Baptism T-shirt for you to be baptized in as well as a towel to dry off with and an Access Baptism bag to hold all of your wet clothes. We ask that you bring dark shorts to be baptized in and any other items (such as flip flops or toiletries) that you may need.

When will I receive a baptism certificate and photos?

My amazing team will be giving you your baptism certificate after the baptisms are over. Your photos will be sent to you using an online Dropbox link the week after your baptism.

If you have any questions or need to talk about these details, please do not hesitate to contact me.
We are super excited to celebrate with you and cannot wait for Sunday to get here!
