Content Specialist

SUMMARY

The Content Specialist is responsible for capturing and managing high-quality photo and video content across all Access Church locations. This position leads the volunteer photography team, ensures content is delivered fast and organized, and supports church communication by creating visual assets used on social platforms, YouTube, and church services.

The Content Specialist will also support specific Access Church ministries and assist other creative staff on ongoing projects. This role utilizes their skillset to deliver outcomes that align with the direction of their team to further Access’ mission to help people take the next step in their relationship with Jesus.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong videography and photography experience.
  • Comfortable with professional photography/videography gear.
  • Ability to lead and train others, not just take photos/videos.
  • Organized, dependable, and fast with deliverables.
  • Fast, efficient video editing skills with a knack for producing engaging short-form and long-form content.
  • A creative eye for capturing stories in live and studio environments.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A heart for ministry and an understanding of Access Church culture.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or similar editing/design software.
  • Familiarity with live-streaming and church/media environments is a plus.
  • Proficient in Slack, Asana, and Planning Center Online tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Content Creation

  • Capture weekly photos and videos at Sunday services and church events.
  • Capture, edit, and publish high-quality video content, including interview/documentary style videos, sermon clips, announcements/advertising, and event coverage.
  • Maintain consistent visual style, color grading, and brand standards across locations.
  • Manage the full content pipeline—from ideation to execution.
  • Participate in all creative, pre-production planning and development meetings.
  • Assist with quick video clips, reels, and short-form content as needed.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and schedule the photography team through Planning Center Online for all locations.
  • Recruit, train, and develop volunteer photographers/videographers to meet church standards.

Content Management

  • Maintain an organized system that allows fast access to content by location and event for easy repurposing.

Social Media Support

  • Deliver assets to the communications team quickly for promotion and announcements.
  • Provide fresh content suitable for website updates and digital channels.

Event Responsibilities

  • Oversee the photography/videography needs at major holidays and events.
  • Ensure photo delivery deadlines are met for high-impact weekends.
