SUMMARY

The Worship Coordinator supports the Worship Pastor by overseeing the planning, preparation, and execution of weekly worship experiences across all church locations.

This role helps ensure services are well-organized and executed with excellence by coordinating volunteers, managing logistics, and maintaining consistent worship standards and culture.

This role also has an emphasis on leading our Next Gen Worship Department. Helping lead the charge in developing young worship leaders and musicians, while cultivating moments of worship in our Next Gen Services.

• Experience serving on or leading worship teams.
• Comfortable using Planning Center and other church systems (or willing to learn quickly).
• Able to lead with clarity, kindness, and confidence.
• Detail-oriented, dependable, and proactive.
• Able to work weekends, evenings (specifically Wednesday Nights), and special events.
• A heart for worship ministry and alignment with the church’s mission and values.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with the Worship Pastor to plan and execute weekly worship services across all locations.
• Build and manage Planning Center plans, including service flow, resources, vocal memos, and team communication.
• Schedule, onboard, and support worship volunteers, ensuring full coverage and healthy team engagement.
• Coordinate rehearsals and assist in leading worship regularly at any location.
• Resource and lead Next Gen Worship teams, directly overseeing South Lakeland’s Next Gen Worship.
• Maintain organized systems, team data, and worship resources to ensure clarity and excellence.
• Partner with production and campus teams to create cohesive, Spirit-led worship experiences, including special services and events.
