“Life is a journey, not a destination.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
- Thankful People are enduring people.
- How do I be a thankful person while enduring the highs and lows of life?
1. Know that God is Good
Psalm 107:1 // Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.
- God is good ___ ____ _____ and all the time ___ ___ _____!
2. Consider Christ
Hebrews 12:1-3 // Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
3. Remember Every Problem is a Lesson
Psalm 119:71 // It was good for me to be afflicted, so that I might learn your decrees.
- What areas of my life do I struggle with endurance?
- What can I do daily to remind myself that life is a journey?
