Tired of doing the same old thing?
Dates don’t have to be predictable or pricey. When you’ve got a little extra cash on hand, give one of these 10 dates ideas a try. At $50 or less, they won’t break the bank but they might give you something to laugh about in the morning.
1. Make your own progressive dinner.
Start with appetizers at one restaurant, get your main course at another, and complete the date with dessert at another location.
2. Take a painting class together.
We recommend a painting night at Art Centric Studio. Plus, Concord Coffee is in the same plaza! ☕️
3. Go to dinner and a movie.
It’s a date night classic for a reason.
4. Get pedicures together.
Pedicures are incredibly relaxing, and they’ll give you time to chat without any distractions. There are too many salons in town to list, and we recommend you do some research to find the salon that will work for you!
5. See some live music.
There’s always great musical acts performing at Union Hall, LKLD Live, and The Yard On Mass. Check their calendars to find the right event for you!
6. Take a cooking class together.
Get spicy and learn to cook a new dish together! Publix Aprons and Alive Culinary Coach are great cooking class options.
7. Go to the downtown Lakeland Food Truck Rally.
Eat together while enjoying entirely different dishes! You can grab burgers, arepas, pho, and grilled cheese all in the same block at the Lakeland Food Truck Rally.
8. Solve your way out of an escape room.
60 minutes on the clock, scattered puzzles, and lots of teamwork. Try the multiple escape rooms in Lakeland like Escapology, Lakeland Escape Rooms, and iPanic on the north side.
9. Cheer on your favorite Lakeland sports team.
For under $50, you can get good seats to watch the Lakeland Magic or the Lakeland Tropics play!
10. Take a dance class.
Even if you’re a terrible dancer, you get to hold hands all night. 😁
