Matthew 22:37-39 // Jesus replied: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself."
We can love GOD and OTHERS because He loved us first.
I am deeply LOVED, fully FORGIVEN, fully PLEASING, totally ACCEPTED by God.
We think our value is established by what WE do rather than what CHRIST has done for us.
God's Love = Christ's Sacrifice
Colossians 1:21-22 // "You yourselves are a case study of what he does. At one time you all had your backs turned to God, thinking rebellious thoughts of Him, giving Him trouble every chance you got. But now, by giving Himself completely at the cross, actually dying for you, Christ brought you over to God's side and put your lives together, while and holy in His presence."
Titus 3:3-5 // "At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lives in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, He saved us, not because of righteous things had done, but because of His mercy."
Philippians 4:4-7 // "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
John 13:34-35 // “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this, everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
The primary goal of spiritual life is human TRANSFORMATION. - John Ortberg
