  • General Promises
  • Conditional

Malachi 3:10 (NIV)  //  “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.

  • Unconditional

John 14:3 (NIV)  //  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

  • Promise of Security
  • God offers us the promise of security.
  • He Provides

Exodus 16:13  //  That evening quail came and covered the camp, and in the morning there was a layer of dew around the camp. 14 When the dew was gone, thin flakes like frost on the ground appeared on the desert floor. 15 When the Israelites saw it, they said to each other, “What is it?” For they did not know what it was.

Exodus 16:18  //  And when they measured it by the omer, the one who gathered much did not have too much, and the one who gathered little did not have too little. Everyone had gathered just as much as they needed.

  • God’s provision is security to us.

Exodus 16:15  //  For they did not know what it was.

  • “Great is Thy faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see; all I have needed Thy hand hath provided: great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!”

Lamentations 3:22-23 // Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. 23 They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

  • He is Present

Matthew 28:20  //  “...and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

  • God’s presence is security to us.

Psalm 46:1  //  God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

  • He is Patient

Psalm 103:8-10  //  The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. 9 He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever; 10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.

  • God’s patience is security to us.
  • God offers us the promise of security.
